Tony Yayo Speaks on G Unit
Tony Yayo recently talked about why he believe G-Unit’s joint album TOS Flopped:
“Ain’t no love in the industry,” Yayo added, addressing the reception to the G-Unit group effort T.O.S. “You just have to be business-orientated. T.O.S. was a good album. The streets loved it. It wasn’t commercial. And basically, it’s something on the catalog; we go to the next project. I feel like a new artist right now. I feel like we’re starting all over.” Yayo said that the low sales for Terminate on Sight have only driven the Unit’s captain to make some of his best work to date. Still, Yayo said the meager SoundScan showing last time around had nothing to do with his camp’s musical quality. “T.O.S., I feel like sometimes the things that 50 and Jimmy Iovine go through trickle down on us,” Yayo said.
“50 is the kind of person, he has so much power and money, sometimes I think the label gets intimidated by that. None of his artists have to starve. Me and Banks and Buck, we all was good. If Interscope don’t wanna throw me an advance, I can always get the quarter mil, half a mil from Fif. I feel [T.O.S.] wasn’t marketed, period. Even with the iTunes, people tried to order the album, they couldn’t order the album. We had weak preorders. We didn’t go on a good promo run. … 50 has one more album left [on his Interscope contract]. If you’re Jimmy Iovine or somebody, when you know you have that leverage, why not let the G-Unit album fail so we can give you less money if you come back to negotiate with us? If the album does well, I have to give you more money.”

Tony Yayo Runs his mouth

Tony Yayo has never been the one to keep quiet on his discontent for other rappers. Calling into Jenny Boom Boom’s show on Hot 93.7 in Connecticut, Yayo released a kamikaze of insults toward G-Unit’s three biggest current foes; The Game, Young Buck and Fat Joe.Stating that The Game was a “television blood,” Yayo mentioned their first encounter in which he saw Game wearing a different color. “When I met Game, he had on a brown flag. He wasn’t even blood, get out of here man.”
Equaling calling Young Buck a “television crip,” Yayo went at Buck the hardest because of his recent emotional split with G-Unit. “I guarantee, when Buck comes out with that mixtape, it’s gonna be a lot of exposing. I could expose Buck in so many ways. From females, to money, to what you had in your bank account, to your IRS, everything.” Yayo continued, “You cried in front of the biggest mess hall ever chump. You ain’t nothing,” he said referring to the taped phone call between Buck and 50 Cent.
Not wanting to leave Fat Joe out of the diss-frenzy, Yayo made his opinion straight-forward on the Bronx emcee. “You just a fat waste. Just go somewhere and die.”

Tony Yayo and 50 Cent sued
Cynthia, the mother of James Rosemend who was assaulted last year, has filed a lawsuit against 50 Cent and Yayo, stating that she wants an apology, even though Yayo was cleared of assault charges. Sources say her reason for including 50 Cent in the suit, though he was no where in the city at the time of the alleged incident, is because he is responsible for the actions and rappers of his label, which she also claims is the rival of Jimmy Rosemond’s Czar Entertainment label. Attorney’s for 50 Cent claim that Cynthia’s suit if money generated, though she claims she just wants an apology. Whatever is what we say at hiphopspy, she wants some loot but we cant see her getting a dime since another flunky took the fall.

Tony Yayo has charges dropped
This year looks to be shaping up for G-Unit hypeman Tony Yayo. Scott Leemon, Yayo’s lawyer, announced yesterday Feb. 14, that all criminal charges against the ‘So Seductive’ hit maker have been dropped . Yayo’s who’s real name is Marvin Bernard was accused of assaulting Jimmy Rosemond’s 14 year old son on a Manhattan street outside of Czar Entertainment on March 22nd , 2007 . Though all charges have been dropped he will be required to do 10 days of community service.Yayo confesses he was at the scene of the altercation and even tried pulling the assaulter off of the teenage boy.Tony’s attorney, Scott Leemon has said he believed his client was innocent from the dawn of this trial stating “As I told you from the beginning, Tony Yayo did not hit anyone and would never do anything to harm a child. “This fact was confirmed by Mr. Fletcher when he told members of the notorious Hip Hop Police in August that he did this on his own. The Hip Hop Police buried this helpful information, and the charges against Tony Yayo proceeded until today.” Leemon continued. Not everyone was happy with the outcome of the case as the teenage boys mother, has demanded an apology after the court proceedings yesterday. “A public apology is appropriate at this time, not only from Tony Yayo but from 50 Cent for denying this event ever happened— as if my son was lying when all along they knew this assault had taken place” said the mother. “As much as Marvin Bernard tried to wiggle his way out of his role in assaulting my son, who is a minor, he had to accept responsibility to accept a plea deal.”
