Snoop Dogg and Amy Winehouse smoke too much weed to work together

The British singing sensation teamed up with Snoop to work on two tracks in Los Angeles last year, but the musicians reportedly got so high they couldn’t stop laughing long enough to record anything.

“Amy came to the studio buzzing with ideas and the pair got on really well, even though Snoop turned up in his dressing gown with slippers on, which had Amy giggling,” according to an insider. “They were working at a frenetic pace at first but as the day wore on and more smoke breaks took place, the work rate slackened.”

“By the time their studio time ended they had a pair of tracks sketched out but no finished product.”

Snoops tour bus Raided

Two members of Snoop Doggs entourage were arrested last night after weed was discovered on his tour bus in Texas.According to the AP, Snoop was headed to a performance in Dallas before getting pulled over by police for having an expired registration sticker. Authorities then searched the vehicle claiming they smelled marijuana.

Dick Tracy found 2 oz of weed, police arrested Ethan C, 27, and Kevin B, 26, who admitted to owning the weed. The men were immediately placed in Navarro County Jail with their bond set at $1,500 each. They are expected to face six months in prison and fines up to $2,000 if convicted.

Despite being at the scene of the incident, Snoop was not charged or held responsible for the drugs.

“Snoop was not arrested,” confirmed Constance Schwartz, his manager.

“Snoop continues to enjoy touring with 311 on the Unity Tour.”

After the men’s arrest, Snoop continued to the concert with the other passengers aboard the tour bus.

The Defendants reportedly appeared before a justice of the peace and were released after posting bond. And on with the show.

Snoop Confirms Detox dropping

Snoop Dogg recently left the recording studio, recording tracks for Dr. Dre’s highly anticipated album, Detox. “That record is real it’s coming,” Snoop Dogg said during an interview today (June 25). “You know me, I was starting to doubt it myself and then I went up in there and he played so much music for me it knocked my head off.”Snoop Dogg confirmed the fabled, decade-long project was finished and that the Doctor was selecting tracks for the album.

“I see what he got them waiting for, it’s on and poppin,” Snoop Dogg said. “He got records, he got heat.”

Dr. Dre will also sit in the producer’s seat for Snoop Dogg’s upcoming album.

“Yea he’s doing my next album. I got the title and everything,” Snoop confirmed without revealing the album’s title. We at Hiphopspy hope Dre brings the heat, we been waiting along time.

Rick Ross tops charts

 Hip-hop is back on top of Billboard’s Top 200 chart, at least for a week.Rick Ross’s “Trilla” debuted at the #1 spot, selling like 98 units last week. Snoop Dogg came in at #3 this week overall, selling 37 copies of his new album “Ego Trippin’,” which has been fueled by the top ten single “Sensual Seduction”. “Ego Trippin’” marks snoops lowest debut ever.Fat Joe’s “Elephant in the Room” claimed the #6 spot overall, but was significantly behind Ross and Snoop, selling 6 copies its first week.
