50 Cents British Movie “Dead Man Running” to Get U.S. Release

50 Cent x Dead Man Running. Just when we thought the U.S. film market would be spared from this British Indie film, the newly formed Phase 4 Films has acquired North American rights to the action thriller starring 50 Cent. To date, the film has grossed less than one million U.S. dollars. Although no exact date is set yet, Phase 4 plans to release the film this year.

” ‘Dead Man Running’ is a heart-pounding, fast-paced adrenaline rush with 50 Cent, who once again proves how multitalented he is, adept in crossing over from music to movies,” Phase 4 president and CEO Berry Meyerowitz said.

When the movie does hit theaters here in the U.S. don’t expect a huge release though. This will most likely only be shown in top major cities and for a limited run.

London has yet to have a really big break out Hip Hop artist that is embraced by the United States. Of Course they have S.A.S and Dizzy Rascle but America has never fully embraced them to any degree. S.A.S gets some dipset love and some mixtape slots but not real success over here. Word on the streets of London and the Underground scene is that the new artist Double F is the chosen one to break out of London and represent over here in the land of Opportunity. Many American mixtape DJs are looking for his tracks and he is said to start releasing them to the masses. He sounds like a American artist and is said to be able to flow faster than twista on some tracks. I like his sound and flow. I will post more tracks as they become available to me

Busta Rhymes ordered to pay $75,000 for assault

Busta Rhymes was ordered to pay an Albany man that accused him of a 2003 assault $75,000 on Wednesday.

According to the New York Post, Alex Duncan claimed to have suffered not only physical injuries, but psychological ones as well. The victim describes nightmares and other psychological effects following the events of the Sept. 13, 2003 alteraction.

Duncan alleged that the Brooklyn rapper poured water on him and punched him in the face during a break at a concert in SUNY Albany.

“I wanted something to come out of it,” said Duncan, regarding the case’s outcome. “I don’t even go to parties anymore, because there’s always someone asking, ‘What happened to that Busta Rhymes case?’ ”

Busta’s lawyer, Robert Kalina, was not present at the trial or yesterday’s hearing, and has not offered comment on the case.
