Chamillionaire says Houston is Dead

After dropping his Mixtape Messiah 4 tape just over a month ago, Chamillionaire recently spoke in his hometown of Houston XXL magazine on video.

Chronicling the competitive tension in Houston that helped get Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Lil Flip, Mike Jones and Chamillionaire signed to major labels several years ago may have been a more progressive climate. Reminded of when Chamillionaire would try to outdo his Swishahouse rivals, or had a less-than-amicable relationship with Slim Thug, he said, “I feel like [the unity right now] has got us a little bit lazy. Everywhere I go, they like, ‘What happened to Houston?’ And that’s a problem for me.”

“It makes me look weak if everywhere I’m going, they think that just everybody from Texas fell off. It’s easy to put out an album and put out a hit, but after that, what do you do?” Moments later, Chamillionaire forecast the controversy that would follow the statement as he declared, “Maybe they’re right. Maybe Texas is dead.”

Referring to his anticipated third Universal album and abundant unreleased mixtape material, Chamillionaire said, “I want to help everybody else and motivate them to be like, ‘Look man, we need to get up off of our you-know-whats and go out there and get it.”

Ozone awards were a joke

As we reported when the voting started for TJDJ’S and the Ozone awards. It went down just as we said it would, This overhyped completely rigged awards show started off with a publicity stunt of Trae and Mike Jones getting into a fight back stage in front of all the press for free press. These two powder puffs didnt swing at anything but air then were quickly seperated by security. The awards hall was half filled as predicted by Hiphopspy. The show was rigged so that the panel could put who they wanted on the ballot then supposedly the fans could vote. Cough,cough,wink,wink. And the award for DJ of the year it goes to DJ Khaled. Silence, a pin drops, are you surprised? We at Hiphopspy are not surprised. DJ Khaled DJ of the year??? Hahahahahahahaha that is beyond funny, that is hysterical, DJ Khaled WE THE BEST hahahahaha Hip Hop Is made a joke by Ozone an TJ, but as we said before this show was rigged. The patiently waiting artist award goes to B.O.B the artist that has had a banner on TJSDJS website for 2 years,Tjs artist. Aw come on you heard of him he has the hit song pause,pause um ? hmmm well he is TJS artist so he gets a award TJ said so. And as before we could go on and on but its meaningless. The awards were rigged and phony and we know you the real Hip Hop fan will see right thru this fiasco of a awards show. If you went to the show I know you were super disappointed, but hey we warned you.
