Kayne says rap is too grimy for his home
US Magazine reports Kayne is a germ-a-phoebe when it comes to rap music. “My apartment is too nice to listen to rap in. I have to be in a way more grimy environment to turn any rap music on.” ~ Kayne West

Kanye West denies giving up Hip Hop

Kanye West has denied giving up hip hop, insisting that the genre is still close to his heart. The Stronger hitmaker was quoted as announcing he has finished with the genre and said “Hip-hop is over for me. I sing, not rap, on this album. I now want to be grouped among those musicians you see in those old black-and-white photos the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles.”
However, now he insists that his comments don’t mean that he will be giving up rap. “I never said, ”Hip hop is over!” I perform hip hop every day of my life. Some paper out of the UK ran that as a quote. I’m in New Zealand and people have been asking me about it. I’ve done a hundred shows this year,” Contactmusic quoted him as writing on his blog.
“Yo bottom line is I work. I work to death and people try to find negativity in the positive energy I put out. The almost superhuman amount of work I put out. People really have there feathers ruffled about this album don’t they? Good!” he added.

Kanye West says he will be bigger than Elvis Presley
I was watching the American Music Awards tonight and up for best Rap album was Kanye West for Graduation and Lil Wayne for the Carter 3 and Jay Z for American Gangster. Kanye won the award and walked to the stage dressed like a straight homo, Im sure the pictures will be out tommorrow. Anyways Kanye started talking about artists of the past including different genres of music like rock ,he mentioned Jimmy Hendrix and Led Zepplin. Then his final statement before he walked off stage was that he was going to be bigger than Elvis Presley. That was probaly the most stupid thing I have ever heard a artist say ever on the American Music Awards. You might think I am being a hater, but let me give you a few facts comparing Kanye West versus Elvis Presley. First Let me give you Kanyes List of album releases and sales, it wont take long.
Kanye has released 8 albums to date not Counting 808s
808s & Heartbreak-just dropped
Graduation
Chicago’s Finest
Freshman Adjustment, Vol. 2
Late Orchestration: Live at Abbey Road Studios
Live in Amsterdam
Late Registration
College Dropout
Total album sales combined I didnt feel like looking up but lets just exaggerate and say he sold 3 million copies of all 8 albums, which I know he didnt sell that many.
Grand Total Sales=24 million
Okay lets move on to Elvis Presley
I wont list Elvis Albums because it would take me forever.
Elvis released 141 albums or singles with every single album going gold, platinum or multi platinum.
His total record sales are more than 1 billion world wide,
more than any other artist in History. And he continues to sell millions every year since his death. He also starred in 33 Movies before his death. I could go on and on but its
futile. Kanye with his tight jean wearing ass is out of his mind if he thinks he will ever be considered a bigger artist than Elvis Presley.

Kanye West talks about GOD and Hip Hop
Hip Hop News bagged a highly exclusive interview with Kanye West yesterday where we talked about his new direction, influences and much more.
The star releases his fourth album 808s And Heartbreak on November 24 and the record features no rapping.
Instead West sings on most of the album employing autotune and vocoder effects. His beats are also noticeably more stripped down and rock influenced.
When asked if he deliberately decided to change direction the star got spiritual.
Kanye said: “What was in me I couldn’t stop, I think it’s a path; it’s a road, that’s been paved and given by God.
“There’s so many signs and I just have to follow the signs and the arrows of where he wants me to go and just be fearless about it.”
The star continued by criticising other rappers who- unlike him- don’t try new styles. He said: “You know it’s so crazy hip hop used to be about being fearless and now it’s all about being afraid.
“It used to be about standing out- now it’s all about fitting in. Like I wear my tight jeans and (they) stand out and people want to talk about me.”
“Because when I had many baggy clothes and I was hip hop people talked about me too. Now hip hop is like a big high school or something so that’s why I respect people who just do whatever they want to do.”

Jim Jones explains his Swagger
If You Haven’t Heard By Now Jim Jones, Juelz Santana & Lil Wayne Are Making A Track Called “Swagger From Us” In Response To “Swagger Like Us” Talking About Swagger Jackers.. It Will Appear On Jim’s Major Debut Album “Pray For Rain” On Sony..
Jim On Jay-Z and T.I.:
Complex: You and Juelz are all about that swag-splashing. How do you feel about not being included on “Swagger Like Us”?
Jim Jones: I think it was deliberate. I really do think it was deliberate; maybe in my sick twisted mind I’m a little crazy. People know who set the precedent as far as fashion in this industry and people know who damn near changed the world as far as fashion. You look at people, they went from the urban world of clothing, back when Rocawear and Sean John was cool. And then in the past 5 years I stepped in and gave them a taste of what rock and roll looks like from my side. I guess people would say from an urban side, and it seemed to catch on like wildfire, to the point that people was going to stores and asking for that Jim Jones look. Me and Juelz had Chink do our own beat, I have Weezy’s verse in my inbox right now and we kept the hook of that song because it was a sample. So we’re going to put that as a bonus track on the album, and put it to the streets. “No one on the corner got swag like you we don’t Rocawear that’s for fags like you.” [Laughs.]
Complex: Ahhh…
Jim Jones: And look at the Vibe cover. Tell me who Jay-Z looks like in there? Did you see the picture of him? With the Louis Vuitton scarf and all that. Who did that resemble? You can say it. But he did it wrong; he had a Gucci belt with a Louis Vuitton scarf. Who does that? You smell me? That’s like wearing one Nike and one Puma; how you going to get away with that? But I didn’t take the song as a shot, because I don’t feel like none [besides Weezy] of them possess any swag.
Complex: What about T.I?
Jim Jones: I don’t feel like he possesses any swag. Not like that. It’s fabricated. They’re watching other people, then they try and do it. You know people that dress like T.I.? You know people that go out and say let me get a T.I. outfit or do you know people who say “yo, you’re looking like Jim Jones?” Which one? Lemme hear it! When the bitches want to fuck you and the niggas want be like you, who got the swag? Niggas with money and fame always going to look like they doing something ’cause they got the camera in front of them. But the cool dudes always stick out no matter where they at.
Well Jim I Could Have Sworn I Seen Kanye Doing The Whole Scarf Shit Way Before You And the Byrd Gang In Can’t Tell Me Nothing And Before That.. And Weren’t You The Same Dude Dissing Kanye For Wearing Tight Clothes A Couple Years Back?? And To Quote Jim..
“Man Kanye’s spaced out,” Jim Jones told the magazine. “That shit aint right what he be wearing. That shit be borderline homo. I can still fit 20/30 thousand in one jean pocket, he can’t fit two singles in his.”
Now Tell Me Who’s Swagger Jacking Who?? We at Hip Hop Spy dont play that tight jeans look Jim and Kanye and Juelz be wearing , Our nuts are too big to wearing that gay shit.

Obama has Jay Z Kanye ST Laz and Papoose on his iPod
At a presidential rally in Greensboro, North Carolina, MTV personality Sway had the opportunity to speak with presidential candidate Barack Obama to discuss issues such as the economy, Hip Hop, and of course John McCain.
Since the interview took place after the presidential debate, Obama was able to speak on his overall opinion of the debate.
“I think what we did was to try to just make clear some big differences between John McCain and myself,” Obama explained to MTV’s Sway. “He thinks the war in Iraq was smart and he wants to stay there. We want to end it. He thinks it was important to support George Bush’s economic policies. I think they’ve been a disaster.”
According to Obama, during the presidential debate McCain made allegations against him that were just not true.
“We’ve become accustomed in our politics to folks just being able to make stuff up or say whatever they want to say. It’s one of the few areas of public life where the standards sometimes are lowered, in terms of you being accurate about what you say about other people.”
Although some critics have blasted him for hit, Obama is still backing his appreciation of Hip Hop.
“I enjoy it, but these days I don’t have the time to listen to it all the time,” Obama shared with Sway. “I’m a little older than Hip Hop culture. I was there at the beginning, but I was already getting older…What I’ve appreciated, watching this Hip Hop generation, is to see how entrepreneurial they’ve been. In the past, musicians oftentimes were commodities. They were just shuffled around. Obviously, they did well, but they didn’t have the vision to say, ‘I’m going to build a business. I’m going to build my own studio. I’m going to create my own production operations.’ I think they’re a lot more sophisticated than in the past, and that is a wonderful thing.”
Some of the Hip-Hop artists in rotation on Senator Obama’s iPod include Kanye West and Jay-Z and Indie artists St. Laz and Papoose.
In a follow up story, Sway referred to his interview with Obama as a milestone in his career and considers Obama an “everyday citizen.”
The next presidential debate will take place on October 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Kanye says be nice to gays
In his concert in Madison Square Garden Kanye said the following about gay people::
“Open your fucking minds. Open your minds. Be accepting of different people and let people be who they are. You know how many people came to me calling me gay cause I wear my jeans the fresh way? Or because I said hey, dude, how you gonna say ‘fag’ right in front of a gay dude’s face and act like that’s okay. That shit is disrespectful. Coming from Chicago, where if you saw somebody that was gay you were supposed to stay ten feet away. It should be time to break out of the insinuations that I was sayin’, the stereotypes, or the fear, the backlash that I would get if you don’t believe in what I believe in, accepting people for who they are…they’re very talented and if they do something special in the world and they’re discriminated. I’ve flown across the world y’all, and I’ve come back here to tell you – open your minds and live a happier life…”
We at Hiphopspy say it makes us wonder if Kanye has a little koolaide in his drawers ? Look at the photo above, would you wear that in your hood??Hmmmmmmm
