T-Pain and Fabolous squash D.O.A Beef
In response to a recent interview by Jay-Z, singer T-Pain has clarified the reasons for the recent words about the mogul at a Las Vegas show.
Last week, rapper Fabolous via Twitter and a video displayed T-Pain saying “f**k Jay-Z” and chastising the emcee as “old” and out of touch with today’s music scene.
In an interview on Ed Lover’s Morning Show, T-Pain explained his ire came from what he perceived as Jay-Z’s disrespect to him earlier this summer at NY’s Summer Jam.
“This isn’t the first time I’ve said it,” T-Pain stated. “I called Jay and said yo, can you come out during my set at the stadium and do the ‘DOA’ song? It would be a big look for me and you. I embraced the song…at the time he said he was triple-booked in Switzerland. I’m ready to go on after a Jeezy set and they said ‘hold on because Jay-Z is about to come out.’ I said well Jay-Z’s in Switzerland, and they’re like no he’s not he’s right there. I look and then there’s Jay-Z. That’s one thing.”

While some may perceive the issue is trivial, T-Pain argues the situation was exacerbated once the pair got on stage together for “D.O.A.”
“Then the line in the song where he says ‘I don’t need nobody smiling at this’ he pointed at me,” T-Pain revealed. “And at the end of the song when I tried to shake his hand he said ‘good riddance.’”
In related news, Fabolous called into the Angie Martinez Show yesterday (September 9) and revealed that he and T-Pain had squashed their beef, which began after the “f**k Jay-Z” comments.
Fabolous tweeted a number of disparaging remarks aimed at T-Pain, who is a featured producer on Fab’s new album Loso’s Way.
Fabolous made comments about T-Pain after hearing remarks about Jay-Z during T-Pain’s set at a club in Las Vegas last week.
He also mistakenly responded to a phony Twitter account that read “f**k Jay-Z and f**k Fabolous.
“He was doing his set and then in between each song, he just would go in on Jay. And I was like I can’t be from Brooklyn and just listen to this, I just felt like I had to say something
“He text me and said to call him and I called him. I apologized really because I kinda jumped out the window a little bit and didn’t check into it before I knew what I was doing, so I apologized for that. And he explaining the whole thing with Jay, how he felt like Jay was coming at him a little bit.”

Lil Wayne pulls in 42 Million on his Concert Tour
There’s no need for Lil Wayne to validate himself anymore as to why many believe that he is top in the hip hop game or why he’s top in the rap industry, the rapper has gained the spot of the highest grossing touring rapper by pulling in over $42 million for his most recent tour.
The rapper swept artists Jay-Z and Kanye West under the rug after doing seventy-eight shows from December 2008 through September 2009 which promoted his chart topping 2008 album “Tha Carter III” which was certified 3x Platinum in the U.S. with sales of over 3 million copies and which is Lil Wayne’s highest selling album to date , but all of the money for the Carter III goes to the Rolling Stones for Wayne using one of there samples on the album without permission .
As for Jay-Z, the rapper wasn’t too far behind by coming into second place with $34.6 million from a twenty-eight concert tour with the Queen of Hip Hop Mary J. Blige in 2008.
Kanye West came in at third place with his “Glow In the Dark” tour which pulled in $30.8 million for forty-nine concerts.
We at Hiphopspy had free tickets to the Lil Wayne show when it came to town but we gave them away to a couple of Lil Wayne Groupies who said when they saw Lil Waynes concert Keyshia Cole stole the show and out-shined Lil Wayne at his own Concert.

T-Pain disses Jay-Z says F**k Jay-Z
Jay-Z’s “D.O.A.” has raised the ire of T-Pain and the singer has openly said, “F**k Jay-Z according to rapper Fabolous.
“Yo I’m at Rehab (club) in Vegas.. T-Pain is DJ’ing.. Sayin F**k JayZ, he old, blah blah.. guess its backlash from D.O.A,” Fabolous said on his Twitter account.
T-Pain cannot sing without the Autotune technology, if you have heard T-Pain sing without autotune he sounds like shit, which was the topic of Jay-Z’s “D.O.A. (Death of Autotune).” The song was the lead single on Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3, which is to be released on Tuesday.
Fab continued to tell what he was doing an also offered his opinion of T-Pain’s shot at Jay-Z.
“So I’m here wit Rihanna, @richyungamerica, & @paulcainsf.. Drinkin some strawberry/daquiri’s.. Not feelin the Tpain JayZ dissing.. Brooklyn!”
Ironically, the person that DJ’d after T-Pain immediately started to play “D.O.A.” and then a full set of Jay-Z song, Fab revealed.
Fab said that T-Pain was still in the club during the Jay-Z set.
This is the first time that T-Pain has expressed this level of disenchantment with Jay-Z. Earlier this summer T-Pain joined Jay-Z on the stage during Hot 97′s summer. He seemed pleased with the recognition in an earlier interview with MTV.
“That affected me in a great way, man. I made sure I honored him as a great song writer…that’s like the best song i heard in a couple years, man. And it’s great that somebody that important stepped up and vouched for me.”

Jay Z on 40 Year old Rappers
Never tell this man when he should drop the mic.
By now it’s safe to say Jay-Z is the Brett Favre of rap.
And lately, the formerly Young Hov has said that as long as an MC’s heart is in it, he or she should continue, regardless of age. He’s about 40, and that’s about all these dissing young rappers could ever say about him that holds any weight as far as his rap career goes. But with the newest effort by Jay, The Blueprint 3, he’s showing young rappers how to do it.
Here’s a recent comment by Jigga to XXL Magazine, as quoted in their October issue:
“No matter what I do, any person that gets to this stage of their life is going to do whatever is in their heart. I think people should make music as long as their heart is in it. As long as they’re pushing past the deadline four times and they’re still making more records. Like, there are thousands of boxers that could have retired before they had that fight, Muhammad Ali for one. But you never stop — because of one, your passion or greed, your financial situation, there may be a need, you know? The thing that I can do is stretch the subject matter. Whether Kingdom Come was your favorite album or not, ’30 Something,’ you have to deal with that subject matter [in that song]. If [the target audience is] 15 to 25, that’s too narrow. What am I going to listen to at 26 and beyond? That’s a quarter of my life. That’s such a small slice of the pie. We have to expand the genre. I would love to listen to hip-hop all day. Of course, now there are other things making their way into my CD changer or iPod, because of the lack of material. It doesn’t speak to me. Everyone is speaking to the kids, thinking that’s the key to success. The sad part of it is that all these [rappers] saying it are 30 years old, at least. Sometimes 35. It’s misleading. It’s that lack of growth that will keep us in a certain place.”
Lack of growth in hip-hop will no doubt kill it. The newcomers needed a blueprint for a true hip-hop album, and Jay gave them three – one in 2001, one in 2002, and this most recent LP. If Soulja Boy did the same type of songs today and he was 40, would any of you children listen to him ?
These are the questions I pose to the youth: is music what it is, or does age dictate what you listen to? My point is this: is rap really for kids, or can you love what you want without caring about what your friends or peers think? Is Drake a rapper or a disney show actor for the kids. Is Lil Wayne Lil anymore? Is Young Buck still Young ?
Jay-Z should rhyme for as long as he wants. Whether he relates to you is up to you, not your friends or the mainstream.
Keep it movin.
Nuff said.

DJ Hero Renegade Edition to Feature Eminem and Jay-Z
The makers of Guitar Hero have done it again. This time, they have joined forces with the Hip Hop community to bring forth DJ Hero. This new interactive music experience is what many Rap fans have been waiting for in the video game world.
DJ Hero’s Renegade Edition, named after the track Eminem is featured on in Jay-Z’s The Blueprint, will be released around the same time as the standard edition of the game. This edition will feature a package with DJ Hero, a Renegade turntable controller and a turntable carrying case that opens up to become a performance-ready DJ stand. To go along with this, the pack will also feature a 2-CD pack which will contain unreleased Eminem and Jay-Z tracks. This will also include a case to be designed by artist Shepard Fairey.
According to a press release, this game is sure to excite many music lovers.
“DJ Hero delivers the most diverse and international collection of music ever assembled in a music game by incorporating anthems from legendary artists.”
In the game, players will be able to blend, scratch, cross fade and sample music.
Fans may recall that Jay and Em both appeared on stage to introduce DJ Hero earlier this year in Los Angeles. Both artists also hinted towards this Renegade Edition back in May. We at Hip Hop Spy dont know if this is good for Hip Hop but it might help some of the button pushing DJs out there who dont know the difference between a Technics 1200 and a Vestax QFO. This is what real turntables look like, why waste money on a video game when you can get a real turntable.
