Writing through a statement, Roth denied the claims and frowned upon publications reporting the gossip as fact.

“I hate to disappoint and take away the entertainment of it all but I am straight, not gay. It’s disheartening to know such “news” on someone’s personal life can be portrayed as fact with no viable source. This, to me, is an opportunity to expose our vulnerability to lies and manipulation through unprofessional and irresponsible news outlets, in which people consider TRUTH. Further, someone’s sexual orientation should NEVER be big news, as it delivers a troubling message to children that they can’t be themselves without fear of judgment. Race, creed, and sexual persuasion should not just be tolerated but understood and accepted. It’s extremely disappointing that this topic would be used with the intention of being hurtful. We are near 2010….2010!! Yet race, sex and religion still play a major role in a hate driven society. For the love of the future and humanity….let’s wake up.”

Terrance Dean, the author of “Hiding in Hip-Hop” confirmed that Asher is indeed mentioned in his book. Taylor Swift Clowns Kanye West on Saturday Night Live

Teen country singer Taylor Swift appeared on Saturday Night Live Yesterday and got back at rapper Kanye West, who made a fool of himself during her speech at the MTV Music Awards in September.

Swift, 19, hosted the long-running late night sketch comedy show. She opened SNL with her original acoustic composition, “The Monologue Song (La, La, La).”

“You might be expecting me to say something bad about Kanye/and how he ran up on the stage and ruined my VMA monologue/But there‘s nothing more to say/everything‘s ok/I have security lining the stage…”

The studio audience broke out into laughter and cheers as Swift is flanked by two fake security guards as she finished her song, which also took shots at her former boyfriend Joe Jonas.

Cashmoney speaks on Lil Wayne going to Jail

Cash Money CEO’s Bryan “Baby” and Ronald “Slim” Williams have released their first public statement on the recent gun conviction of their star artist Lil Wayne.

Wayne plead guilty yesterday October 22 to attempted weapons possession charges, and is expected to be sentenced to a year in prison.

“The Cash Money family will continue to support our artist and friend Lil Wayne in his current court case. We have worked with Wayne since he was a teenager, and have seen him grow into one of the world’s most successful hip-hop artists, with a work ethic that is second to none,” the Cash Money CEO’s explained.

With two freestyles (“Swag Surfin’,” “Wasted”) recently leaking from Wayne’s anticipated mixtape No Ceilings, the Williams brothers confirmed that Wayne will continue to receive the label’s full backing during this dark period.

“Wayne has our love and commitment during this difficult time. We always have and always will stand behind him,” the Williams brothers said.

As reported earlier, Lil Wayne is expected to serve at least 8 months of the 1 year prison sentence.

Lil Waynes Canada Concerts Cancelled

A pair of dates on Lil Wayne’s America’s Most Wanted Music Festival tour were canceled last night due to unknown reasons.
On Monday (August 17), fans who had purchased tickets arrived at GM Place only to learn the concert had been canceled.
Tonight’s show (August 18) at Lil’ Wayne at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta has also been canceled.

While no official reason has been given for the sudden cancellation, sources say that one of the performers, maybe Lil Wayne himself, was not allowed entry into Canada.
Nicki Minaj, an artist on the tour, tweeted that authorities were “being extra” and searching another bus that was attempting to enter the country.

“They got the other bus under pressure right now,” Nicki Minaj said. “Ni***z brought the dogs out and s**t.”

Lil Wayne was also forced to cancel a concert in Canada in June of 2008 due to unknown circumstances.

Just last week, Lil Wayne appeared in court to dispute evidence related to a 2007 gun charge in Manhattan.

Lawyers for the rapper also appeared in court last week to dispute evidence related to a drug case pending against the rapper in Arizona In which Lil Wayne will probaly do time when the case comes to trial.

Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em, who is also on the tour, confirmed both dates’ cancellations, stating that he was off to Los Angeles due to the time off.

It would not be the first time a rapper from the United States has been denied entry into Canada.

DMX, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Tony Yayo, Young Buck, and other members of 50 Cent’s G-Unit have all been refused permission to enter the country. Canada is the country of Haterz.

Lil Wayne sued over Sleepiness

. Lil Wayne is being sued for nearly half-a-million bucks for sleeping when he should have been performing.

Red City Entertainment claims it fronted $432,000 for a Wayne concert appearance in the Bahamas. On September 27, 2008, there were plenty of lights and cameras… but no action, because Wayne was passed out in his hotel room. When he didn’t show for the performance, cops went to his hotel and found him unconscious.

In the lawsuit filed today, Red City claims it gave Wayne a $210,000 advance. The balance is for his hotel expenses and various costs involved in throwing the failed concert.

Calls to Lil Wayne’s rep were not returned.

Birdman admits he would Kiss Lil Wayne again

Cash Money Records CEO Bryan “Birdman/Baby” Williams took the “better late than never” approach to addressing the infamous photo of his mouth-to-mouth kiss with his label’s breakout superstar Lil Wayne.

In a recent interview with radio Londons DJ Tim Westwood, Birdman gave his thoughts on the love shown between unofficial father and son. Perhaps to his credit-and a move that will make many yell “pause”-Birdman did not back down when the topic popped up.

“That’s my son,” Birdman explained to Westwood and the listening audience. “If Lil Wayne was right here, I’d kiss him again. I kiss my daughter, my other son.” uh who kisses there son in the mouth? Who? Pedophiles and homos take your pick

Ultimately, Birdman says the situation, which began when a photo of him kissing Lil Wayne surfaced on the Internet was blown out of proportion.

“I think people just took that too far,” he added.

Lil Wayne appears in court for Gun Possession case

Lil Wayne appeared in front of a Manhattan Superior Court Judge yesterday April 23 for a gun possession charge stemming from a 2007 arrest.

According to MTV News, Wayne did not speak during the hearing, as his lawyer filed a motion for additional discovery, which will have the officer who made the arrest in court next month.

The motion is the result of a possible inconsistency between the officer’s account and a detective that filed the police report.

The testimony in court of the exchange between Wayne and the officer on Weezy’s tour bus differed from what was entered into the police report. Police say they smelled marijuana before they stopped Wayne’s bus and entered it, upon which they found an illegal gun. The rapper’s lawyers say that the police did not smell the marijuana before stopping the bus, and therefore had no reason to search it.

In addition to the motion, an affidavit was filed to question DNA testing used to prove that the gun belonged to Lil Wayne and not legally registered to his manager, Cortez Byrant.

Wayne, the arresting officer and the detective who filled out the police report are scheduled to appear on May 20. The rapper’s attorney was instructed by Judge Charles Solomon to call any additional witnesses on that day as well.

Cash Money label heads Bryan “Baby” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams arrived 10 minutes after Wayne to offer their support.
