RnB Crooner Toni Braxton is getting Dogged by her Label

Toni Braxton’s delayed album ‘Pulse’ has been pushed back yet again and again. According to Amazon the record, which was originally slated to hit stores earlier last year, will now be released on May 4th. The album will serve as Toni’s first release on new label Atlantic Records. Atlantic Records appears to not respect Toni Braxton and just keep pushing her album back over and over again. A lesson for the new artists who sign to labels, Just cause you have a contract does not mean they will put your album out it just means they can shelf you and keep you off the other Labels. Young Buck is in that boat now, 50 Owns his contract and keeps Buck on the shelf forever and there is nothing buck can do about it except starve.

It’s quite sad to see Toni’s project being dealt blow after blow like this. While the reason for the delay is unknown, one thing that is a near certainty is that should she not drop a hit prior to the album’s release, it’ll likely be curtains for the whole album. After all, we’ve seen it time and time again; albums getting pushed back so much that when they do finally hit stores no one cares. We at Hiphopspy could careless if any artist ever sells another album, as the days of buying Cds has long passed. Artists and Labels have to get with the program of free music to build a buzz then get your sponsors on board and start touring. Buying Cds not gonna happen that boat has sailed.
