Madonna to do Hip Hop on her next Album
Madonna is going old skool on her next album to try and blur the lines between rock and hip-hop.
That’s according to the Material Girl’s latest young hot collaborator, DJ A-Trak, who is readying ideas for her follow-up to Hard Candy, provisionally due later this year.
DJ A-Trak, aka Alain Macklovitch, 27, revealed: “It’s my production, turned into song structure – halfway between rap and electronic and whatever else I listen to.”
Madonna, 51, has been a longtime hip-hop fan, infiltrating more urban sounds with the help of Timbaland, 38, and Pharrell Williams, 36, on her last album.
But having also mastered the electric guitar, she’s now keen to merge more classic rock elements.
Originally from Montreal, A-Trak has been winning turntable awards since he was 15 and recently finished a four-year stint as Kanye Wests DJ.

Good GOD, this woman STILL in the industry?
