There are so many things going on in hip hop right now. DJs say they won’t look at a cd if they can’t afford the high quality covers and the works.. There was a time when you could record & put it on a cd w/the name in marker as long is it was good. Now it has to be mixed, mastered, dipped in gold and touched by an angel aka someone already famous. It’s not the music.. It’s the look.
djs dont care how a cd looks that is given to them. But if a DJ release’s a mixtape he does need a good presentation. A artist or dj that wont invest in themselves probaly isnt that professional to begin with and thats real talk, if you got money to spend on weed you got money to get quality covers. most dudes is lazy and cheap and there is a good chance they wont make it in the music business. now paying to be placed on a video site that is just stupid.
