T.I and Tiny arrested in Hollywood for Marijuana

Rap star T.I. could be in serious trouble, after the rapper and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were arrested in West Hollywood for drug possession.

According to reports, T.I. and Tiny were arrested and charged with alleged possession of a controlled substance after police smelled marijuana emanating from their car.

The pair, who married last July in Miami, were taken into custody by L.A. County Sheriff Deputies for the infraction.

While details are sketchy as of press time, the arrest could impact T.I. greatly.

The rapper is currently serving a three-year probation after he pleaded guilty in May of 2009, for attempting to purchase machine guns and silencers before the BET Awards in 2007

T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., was released from prison in March of 2010. Not a good thing for T.I being on probation.

Best case Scenario ::: T.I pays his fine and pays the lawyer and pays the Judge and gets off.

Worst case Scenario ::: He will most likely get violated and sent back to serve the remainder of his sentence

Rick Ross wants to be buddies with T.I.

“I felt the time was right for me and T.I. to work together,” Ross said in an interview. “We had never personally collaborated with each other on a record one on one. Early on in my career, I had said negative things when I didn’t know him.

Just us being bosses and us being leaders and us being examples, we bossed up. We both did. He came from home doing what he did. I did my thing…Just on a mutual respect for each other, I reached out to him. When I got that verse back, I was like, ‘He meant that.’ We had been seeing each other over a period of time, saluting each other, bumping into each other, he knew I was a fan of his. We captured that moment in time which was one of the dopest records.”

T.I. will perform at this Years wack BET Awards show

T.I. will give his first televised performance since being released from prison, during this year’s Wack BET Awards, organizers have announced.

T.I. will join a list of performers that includes Sean “Diddy” Combs and Dirty Money, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz and others.

The performance will be T.I.’s first appearance at the awards show since 2006.

A year later, in October of 2007, the rapper was slated to headline the annual 2007 awards show, but he was arrested attempting to buy machine guns with silencers.

In related news, R&B singer John Legend will be the recipient of BET’s Humanitarian Award, due to his work to end poverty through education.

The 2010 BET Awards, which will be hosted by famed rapper/actress Queen Latifah, airs live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 27th. Last years BET awards were horrible. This is the supposed to be the best Hip Hop awards show, But some of the low budget hip hop awards shows are better than BET attempt at a classy show. Click thats me changing the channel.
