Rick Ross wants to be buddies with T.I.

“I felt the time was right for me and T.I. to work together,” Ross said in an interview. “We had never personally collaborated with each other on a record one on one. Early on in my career, I had said negative things when I didn’t know him.

Just us being bosses and us being leaders and us being examples, we bossed up. We both did. He came from home doing what he did. I did my thing…Just on a mutual respect for each other, I reached out to him. When I got that verse back, I was like, ‘He meant that.’ We had been seeing each other over a period of time, saluting each other, bumping into each other, he knew I was a fan of his. We captured that moment in time which was one of the dopest records.”

Freeway Ricky Ross’s Nephew goes in on Rick Ross the Ex C.O.

Kingpin Freeway Ricky Ross’ nephew/rapper, Slim da Mobster, has shed light on his uncle’s issues with Def Jam’s Rick Ross using his name as a rap alias.

Mobster feels Ross’ decision to profit off the name is inexcusable.

“Totally disrespectful. And it’s become more disrespectful,” Slim said in an interview, “like I said, a lot of these n*ggas ain’t what they say they are. If you ain’t a stand-up cat then don’t use a stand-up guy’s name. With me, strangely, I got my name from a notorious pimp and Blues vocalist Fillmore Slim. That’s another part of when I was out here in the street.

slim da mobster pics http://hiphopspy.com

A lot of these dudes, they confuse fact with fiction. They’re so fictional, that they’re willing to do anything for money. Me, myself, I’m not an anything for money type of n*gga So for me, it just be funny when I hear a n*gga use somebody that I actually know’s name and it comes to known for one, Rick Ross was a cop or a C.O., police, worker, whatever. Now you’re confusing people with this picture you painted. That’s like you painting a picture and me takin’ credit for it. That’s like your picture with my signature at the bottom of it. That ain’t cool. When you’ve sat in prison for over 20 years for this sh*t, I don’t want anybody using my name unless you’re along those lines or you’re of that caliber.”

Freeway Ricky Ross has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Ross and Def Jam over the commercial usage of his name.

Video: Trae ft Lil Wayne and Rick Ross – Inkredible

Trae Tha TruthNew MusicMore Music Videos
I Listened to this track and the best thing about it is the beat. The Lyrics by all three artists are so simple minded the track is just trash. I posted it just for the Fans. I Listen to Trae but Wayne and Ross Ill pass on them. Not my style something for the teenagers. I guess I have to much real Hip Hop in me to even consider listening to some of the trash tracks that drop these days.

We got another record. … Ah man, I don’t know how to describe this one. ‘Magnificent’ was one of my favorite records off Deeper Than Rap. But the new John Legend [collaboration] is most definitely next-level vibe. We back at it. It’s most definitely creative. Shout-out to John Legend — I think he makes a huge contribution to music. Myself, I try to get better and better with every rhyme I make — every rhyme I bring to the table, I want to make sure it’s more potent than the last. I’m setting this album, Teflon Don, to be the album of my career.”

He’s already great to me. He’s got the mind and the talent to do what he wants as far as rap goes. He can rap his ass off. He’s going to constantly make hits. The town has bust open. I’ve learned a lot being in Miami. It’s different from where we come from. I felt like we had to leave New Orleans in order to grow. My city is small the state of Louisiana is small. Im from there and I love it. I’m 504 ’til I go. I still have a house there and I still go there. But at some point you have to grow.”
