ECP Music Group Launches as first Indie with World Wide Distribution

April 13, 2010 — E.C.P Music Group has launched as one, if not the only, Independent Music Company with Worldwide distribution. The first release coming on the newly found label is The Purple Aces Tapes, a compilation of music put together by Universal Recording Artist, Michael Barber, and Award Winning DJ, DJ Fade.

The Music Group launched by Barber, DJ Fade, and numerous people behind the scenes that Barber describes as “Free Thinkers,” has sealed distribution with Best Buy, iTunes, Amazon, Walmart, as well as Rhapsody, Napster, and 22 other online streaming sites. The real key behind the launch of the E.C.P might be the worldwide distribution, and the fact that they are ready with distribution in 13 Countries in some very interesting places. From Australia to four countries in Europe, to Japan, and back to Canada.

A major success factor in the distribution structure is the point of sale, from Coffee and Head Shops to SuperMarkets, ECP has decided against using a standard, register with Soundscan, type of distribution.

“Is it about releasing a product that people actually get to listen to, or about numbers on a manipulated system?” Barber said in an interview with One on One Fashion Magazine.

The company is also working on the development of a new distribution gadget that is similar to the iPod but with Bluetooth and later generation wireless technology.  Release of  the unnamed device which is just beyond the blueprint and patent phases, is set for Christmas 2010. The details are limited, but LA Fitness will play a role.

ThatCrack Mixtape DJ for the Month of November is ?

Well it has been a huge month for ThatCrack we moved to some of the biggest Servers in the world this month and that was a very big task. And now it is that time of the month again for us to choose the Mixtape DJ of the Month. Once again it was a time consuming event just to get the list down to a handful of DJs. We always start with counting the number of mixtapes released and that gave us our initial list. After we got our initial list we started looking at the covers and listening to mixes and broke the list down even further. We were left with about 5 mixtape DJs who some of them eliminated themselves once again by not showing ThatCrack any support. We check myspace pages and side sites to see if we could find any ThatCrack players, or Links to ThatCrack, we checked the viral mixtape tracker, we checked downloads, we checked the covers to see if we could find ThatCrack Logos. Some of these DJs who would of had a chance did not show us any support so we had to eliminate them as that is our policy. If you supported us like you do some of these so called DJ Cliques and other mixtape sites we would consider you but to each his own. We know everyone wants to win and everyone thinks they deserve to win. But there can only be one Winner. We wanted to share the process with you because next month when you place Logos of these DJ Cliques and Sponsors you are down with on your tapes you might want to add a ThatCrack Logo or if you add one of those other sites Mixtape players on your sites you might want to add a ThatCrack Mixtape player as well. The winner of ThatCracks Mixtape DJ for the Month of November is a well deserving Double L He will receive a Trophy from ThatCrack and all the accolades that go with it. We just completed our move to new servers. We have had some problems with the database. If you uploaded a mixtape in the last 24 hours the mixtape might not show up. We can see who uploaded a tape and will let you know if you need to re upload the mixtape. This is a part of moving to new servers, we are now currently on some of the biggest servers in the world.

We are half way thru a process that will re brand That Crack with a New Name and a new site. We are forced to do this as the current name offends some of the sponsors that help keep the site afloat. We are the best Mixtape site on the Planet and we will continue to get better. If you do not have our banners on your mixtapes add them under the link us tab at the top of the site. We will name the Mixtape DJ of the Month for the Month of November within the Next 24 hours, if our banners or Players were not on your sites or covers you will not be considered.

The month of Sept there were 9 Mixtape DJs Nominated based on number of Mixtapes released, Quality of Mixtape,Covers,Mixes,Exclusives and Viral Players posted and Overall grind. ThatCrack awards a trophy each month to the winner of the competition. The Competition starts on the 1st of each month and the voting starts on the 20th of each month and concluding at the end of the month.
