Nate Dogg’s Manager says all his rapper friends turned their backs on him
West Coast native Nate Dogg received medical treatment from CareMeridian Rehab Center in Orange County, California in the final stages of his life. But, despite having no issues with the service or claims of mistreatment, Nate’s camp apparently never paid the bill and is now facing a 300K lawsuit. After Nate Dogg suffered his second stroke in 2008, he moved into CareMeridian, where patients with serious injuries get the rehabilitation they need. According to TMZ, the singer received more than 290,000 dollars in treatment from 2008 to 2010, as per CareMeridian’s claims. And, one of Nate’s managers, David Michery guaranteed they would get compensated. Now CareMeridian is suing Nate Dogg’s estate, alleging the balance was never paid, even after the death of Nate Dogg in 2011. As a result, the court has entered a default judgement against Nate’s camp, including manager Michery, ordering them to shell out $293,512.52.
Michery told TMZ he stepped up to the plate to pay the bill because none of Nate’s famous “rapper friends” offered to help out. Think about all the big huge songs Nate sung the hook on and you know who they are talking about.
“I was the only person who would come forward because I didn’t want him to die,” he explained. “Me and Nate have 20 years history together and I did what everyone should have done and tried to save his life … not let him get kicked out in the streets and die.” Michery says he intends to pay the hefty bill by releasing several never-before-heard Nate Dogg tracks. When asked if he regrets taking responsibility for Nate’s medical bill, Michery said, “Not at all. I would do it again in a minute. I just wish that the people he looked out for all these years and the people who claim to love him so much would help out.” TMZ spoke with Warren G, who appeared on “Regulate” with Nate, and in his own defense said, “I rode with Nate ’til the end … I did what I could do for him with other things financially. If I was able to pay for his hospital bill, I would have. I made several calls to numerous people for help. I love Nate … he’s my brother.” —Christian Mordi

The Top 5 Mistakes Indie Music Artists Make
This is a difficult list to put together because indie music artists make so many mistakes. I hope this short list helps some unknown indie artist avoid these mistakes in their quest to make it. The top five mistakes indie music artists make are.
1.Waiting for a Record Label to discover you- Not gonna happen most labels do not even have A&R departments anymore. The days of A&Rs going out and listening to live shows and actually listening to demo’s are long gone.
2.Not Performing Live – Live shows are the best way to make new fans and to move merchandise and actually make some money selling your music. If you think you are going to sell your music online think again. You should take every opportunity to perform live. And never ever pay a promoter to open for a Major artist. This is a way promoters make money and it does nothing for the indie artist because the fans came to see the Major artist not you.
3.Not Hiring a Manager- Not hiring a manager is a big mistake by indie artists. There is just too much to do to jump start a music career, a artist cannot do it all. A manager can take the load off your back and let a artist concentrate on their music. A good manager will work for free until you make some good money then they will get compensated.
4.Not making a Name for yourself in your Hometown – Labels and distributors will investigate a indie artists hometown to see if they have a local fan base. Indie artists that are mentioned by there hometown DJs and promoters will get a labels attention. You cannot conquer the nation if you cannot even conquer your hometown. If you are not a big deal in your home town then you are not working hard enough. Labels want artists to promo themselves these days and once a artist gets a huge buzz then the label will find them.
5.Networking Too Much – It might seem like the right thing to do, but it is a big mistake most indie artists make. If you are always available for anyone and everyone who wants to collaborate with you, then the general public will view you as nothing special. You must be hard to get a hold of. You must create a I am already a star persona. You do not want to have 3 other unknown artists on your songs with you. You do not want to collab with everybody. You want to collaborate with those artists that are at a higher level then you. You do not want to rub elbows with your fans.

Kid Cudi says he is quitting Twitter and nobody cares
One hit wonder Kid Cudi has officially disconnected from social networking site Twitter. He made the announcement to his 389,000 followers yesterday evening (February 3), along with a message about his new album, WZRD. “Going away for awhile,” Kid Cudi tweeted from his official account. According to Kid Cudi, his new album WZRD will be out at the end of February. “Since y’all won’t hear from me, I hope you all like the album when it comes out Feb 28th,” the rapper tweeted. “I really worked hard to do my best. Thank You.” Without a hit single and very few mixtapes released his new album will probably sell next to nothing. Thats how it is in rap music these days either you have a hit or you don’t sell.

Simon Cowell and Will Smith to Launch DJ Talent Show
Simon Cowell has announced plans to launch a new talent competition searching for the world’s best new DJs. The show, which does not yet have a title, will loosely follow the format of Cowell’s hit talent shows The X Factor, American Idol and America’s Got Talent.
“DJs are the new rock stars. It feels like the right time to make this show,” he said in a statement, Cowell has not gone into detail about the specifics of the show, or how the talents of DJs will be demonstrated and judged on television.
The show will be co-produced by SYCO, Cowell’s joint venture with Sony Music, and Overbrook Entertainment, a production company founded by Will Smith. The producers plan to announce their broadcast partners in the United States and Britain in the near future. Master of the Mix DJ show was a huge failure and completely wack with Amber Rose as a judge how wack can you get. Hopefully Simon won’t mess this up.
