Common goes in on Cashmoney Records then tap dances about it

Some of the punk boy shit that goes on in rap these days needs to stop. If you are going to diss someone say their name and stand by the diss. Take it back to the streets when dissing meant something and heads would get cracked for talking reckless.  All these subliminal beefs and twitter beefs and girly beefs are making rap look like a Lady Gaga festival. The shit is getting sickening. Hip Hop continues to decline and go down the wrong path. Common spit some lyrics on his song sweet then tap dances about who the lyrics were meant for.

On his song “Sweet,” Common goes in on all these Cashmoney sissy “soft” rappers, “Y’all niggas man, y’all soft motherfuckers / Singing all around me man, la la la / You ain’t motherfucking Frank Sinatra / Uh, lil’ bitch / Sweet ass motherfucker.” Many believed this was a diss directed at Drake,or Lil Wayne. Common recently spoke on V103 Atlanta’s radio show where he spoke on the lyrics. “Some people have been saying that, but on that song, I’m just talking about whoever the cap fits. I’m talking about rappers out there that’s soft and doing the same thing. So if the cap fits, then that’s who it is,” he said “That’s all it is. It’s whoever the cap fits, then let ‘em wear it. I think it’s a lot of creative artists out there. I think Drake makes some good music.”

“On the song ‘Sweet’ – which we did the video for, too, in Haiti, we just put that out a lot of rappers may feel it. And if they feel it, then that’s who I’m talking about.”

Machine Gun Kelly and Yelawolf Corny Beef

MGK recently took to the airwaves explaining that he has no problem with the Shady Records signee and that he was just misunderstood.

“Do I have a problem with Yelawolf? No. I don’t think Hip Hop needs that. I think it’s corny when it’s two white guys. Especially when we’re cut from the same type of cloth,” he said. “I think that I’m young and I’m wild and I say some things, things just fly out of my mouth that are taken a different way. The thing with Yelawolf didn’t start with the Cypher thing. It started with me doing an interview – more like multiple interviews. I always get the Yelawolf question, comparisons and stuff like that. You start answering in a different way – it’s hard to explain.”

The problems started with subliminal lines on the 2011 wack BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher, he pinpoints the problem to his impression of Yela during an interview with The Breakfast Club.

“The interview that they were referring to when Yelawolf did do the interview and he saw the stuff was when I was drunk and talking stuff. It wasn’t bad what I said. I just think it’s a Yelawolf impression – I don’t know where it went wrong. Honestly, everything I’m doing is all in good fun, man. I think people took things the wrong way. We never had the chance to speak,” he said. “I’m 21, man. I’m going to say some stuff that people aren’t going to understand.”

Shots fired at Mac Miller…

From an exclusive interview with Dubcnn (#1 West Coast News Outlet) – That Kid Era launched a full-blown attack on Mac Miller. Shots are fired below. This is a must read!

Dubcnn: Tell me about the beef between you and Mac Miller. I saw the video of you guys stepping to Mac over some production credits for “La, La, La”, is that how it got started?

That Kid Era: The whole story behind that is that my boys from Up North gave a track to Darelle Revis, the corner back for the New York Jets. He had handed the beat off to Mac, and we were unaware that Mac Miller had used the beat and shot a video to it, until we saw it up on WorldStarHipHop one day. We were cool with him using the beat and everything; we just wanted credit for it as we thought that was necessary respect. We weren’t trying to take money from him, all we wanted was credit. They were just giving us the run around and doing a lot of shady business.

He wanted us to tweet this person, email that person, and contact his manager, his publicist, etc. A few months pass by, long story short; he stopped answering us all together. He had a show coming up in New York City; we happened to be there and saw him outside of the show and ask him what was going on with the credit. We gave him respect for the song and asked him who made the beat. He looked shocked and very scared! I don’t think he ever expected for us to actually show up in person. (laughs)

We didn’t show up trying to fight him. After his manager or publicist (I didn’t know who he was) got a little disrespectful, my boy Frank from Up North got in a scuffle with him. You can’t see it on camera, but Mac’s dude got thrown into a fence, then the cops ended up showing up. Mac Miller ran away like a little bitch and disappeared into the subway. The cops left and we were out there kicking it. Chris Webby and some other emcees were chilling too and we were outside of SOB’s freestyling. Later on, Mac’s team texted my boy Tim from Up North and said they’d put up the correct production credits, if we’d take down the video. We didn’t like how they handled their business, and we thought it was shady that all of a sudden they wanted to comply. After months of asking the credits appeared up 2 minutes after the confrontation. So then, we came out with the diss record “Whack Miller”, and that was that.

Dubcnn: Tell us more about the single “Whack Miller”?

That Kid Era: The first few lines actually talk about Darelle Revis, which not a lot of people have realized. The funny thing is I’m a Jets fan. I got my Cromartie jersey though, so it’s all good (laughs). This is hip-hop, its competitive. Whack Miller is a light diss record and trust me, he isn’t fucking with me lyrically at all.

That’s why he’s tried to avoid the situation, Why do you think he never even responded in an interview except one? You think people weren’t asking him about the situation? Of course they were, he just refused to answer because he’s a scared punk and there’s nothing for him to say. And I just found out last week he responded about the situation in Complex. Before that, he was singing lullabies; then the interview came out and he was saying mutha-fuck this and mutha-fuck that.

I don’t know where that came from because you could stuff pillows with his music then – and now he’s trying to big league us and brush it off as if we were in the wrong. On top of it, he goes on to say that he saw us at one of his shows and we just stared at him. I don’t know if he was seeing things, or why he thinks we would show up to another one of his shows. Why would I do that? (laughs). If we showed up to his shows again he would know we were there and he would get shook and hide again.

Dubcnn: So the beef is still on…

That Kid Era: Man, everyone he was with was mad shook and I was only with 3 other kids. If I saw him again, I don’t know what would happen. I don’t think he would say anything if he seen us. And he’s too scared to respond in music either as it’s not a good look for his lame career. It would open up the platform to where people will have to look at the lyrics and that plays to his disadvantage.

Mac Miller is gimmicky and he sells records to 12 year-olds and his type of music will come and go quick. It is what it is to me, so really, that’s not real beef. He doesn’t want to take it there out of obvious fear.

Too Short ‘Destroyed’ Messy Marv on the Where you at diss

About 1 week ago Messy Marv disrespected Too Short saying Too short never helped put anybody in the game. I found it disrespectful for Messy Marv to go at one of the All time top 5 rappers from the west coast. It was pretty much career suicide for Messy Marv. Some artists you really don’t want to attack. Too Short gets mad crazy respect from coast to coast. It wasn’t a wise thing to do from Messy Marv, it could actually lead to a beat down or worse for Messy Marv. Too Short has  to much juice for Messy Marv.

Well Too Short finally released a diss track a couple days ago and when he first released it i didn’t really listen to it well as all kind of distractions were going on around me while i had it playing. I gave it a second listen last night and Whoa is all I can say. Too Short hasn’t lost a step, he destroyed Messy Marv and might have Ja Ruled his career or worse. One thing is for certain Too Short is a Triple OG and his fan base is HUGE.. Messy Marv  your move….

Jay-Z and David Ortiz are heading to Court

Jay-Z and Boston Red Sox’ star David Ortiz are going to court this month over the use of the Jay-Z 40/40 brand name.

Jay-Z took Ortiz to court for allegedly stealing the name of the 40/40 Club and using it for a similar business located in the Dominican Republic.

According to The New York Post, representatives were locked in negotiations for three-hours yesterday, but could not reach an agreement.

Judge Richard Berman said the legal eagles attempting to resolve the name dispute did not have “the authority to settle” the matter.

According to reports, Jay-Z, who filed the lawsuit in April of 2010, is seeking $5 million for trademark infringement. David Ortiz says the amount wanted by Jay-Z is to much so they will let the courts decide the outcome of this case.

50 Cent Calls up Angie Martinez Punks Out Q of Worldstarhiphop on the Air

50 Cent goes in on Q the owner of Worldstarhiphop. The same owner who charges indie artists $500.00 to put there video on that wack ass site. You can hear it in Q voice he is a scary dude. 50 Cent talks to him like bitch and he folds up. Q wants to talk to 50 in person now that the website is shutdown. We don’t know if 50 is responsible or if they had server problems. But Worldstarhiphop has been taxing the up and coming artists and trying to clown anyone who they don’t like.

DMX Goes in on Jay-Z

DMX went in on Jay-Z at a Scottsdale Arizona concert.

“Y-O, Y-O in this b*tch, n*gga,” DMX told a crowd of Arizona fans. “New York to AZ, New York to AZ, n*ggas must be crazy, f*ck Jay-Z! Ya heard? Ya heard? … What do y’all think is the state of the rap industry right now? I mean, you know, I’m an artist so I kind of have bias views but I think most these n*ggas suck! I think they not only suck, but they suck d*ck! I mean, correct me if I’m wrong, we’re real people. Most of us got jobs — but you got these n*ggas talking about Bentleys, mansions and pool parties, we don’t rock that sh*t son! So my take on it is, you got Patron in your cup? Good for you! You got a b*tch that wanna f*ck? Good for you! You sittin’ on 24′s? Good for you! You got Lamborghini doors? Good for you! Because at the end of the day? I ain’t got that sh*t…”
