Dr. Dre leaves Ice Cube hanging on his new Album

Writing via his blog, Ice Cube informed fans that his former N.W.A. member Dr. Dre would no longer be featured on the project.

“I’m almost done with my record, I Am The West. I’ve been mixing songs and dealing with paperwork all week and I’m down to my last 4 songs to mix. It’s bangin’. I think we’ll end up wit about 15 songs when it’s all said and done and I’m real happy wit it. As a matter of fact, I’m in the Lench Mob Studios writing this blog right now. I’m going to Philly in the morning to promote Lottery Ticket. I get a lot of love in Philly…Go Mike Vick!

Many asked about Dr. Dre working on my album. Negative, Dre has been M.I.A. for a few months now. I asked Snoop has he heard from him and he said, no. I can’t wait. I gotta turn my sh*t in by Aug. 20th to make street date Sept 28th. I’ll keep you posted if anythang new develops.”

Dr. Dre announcing plans to put together an instrumental album based on the solar system

Dr. Dre announcing plans to put together an instrumental album based on the solar system.

For Dre has a plan to create a beat for each planet in space.

“Oh yeah, that’s in the works,” he said when asked about making an instrumental LP. “An instrumental album is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. I have the ideas for it. I want to call it The Planets. I don’t even know if I should be saying this, but f*ck it. It’s just my interpretation of what each planet sounds like. I’m gonna go off on that. Just all instrumental. I’ve been studying the planets and learning the personalities of each planet. I’ve been doing this for about two years now just in my spare time so to speak. I wanna do it in surround sound. It’ll have to be in surround sound for Saturn to work.”

A Dr. Dre Sighting by Ice Cube

This got posted by Cube yesterday, I missed it because I was taking care of alot of business I having been putting off, Juggling as much as I do sometimes I cant keep up. Hip Hop moves so fast these days that we as fans dont have the time to even enjoy it anymore, But anyways below is what West Coast Triple OG Ice Cube had to say on his Blog.

Ice Cube pics http://hiphopspy.com

What up fam,

I met Dr. Dre in the studio last night. When I got there Snoop was in the booth laying the finishing touches on another classic from the dynamic duo. He played me some tracks set for the up and coming Detox record and we talked about me jumping on board the project. Of course I talked about him doing shit on my record and he said he’d bless the album. The Game came through ready to spit but Dre just wanted every to vibe. It felt like old times when me and Dre would work on shit in Eazy’s cold ass garage.

He asked me did I diss him during the Paid Dues Show last Saturday. I did one of my new songs called “Drink The Kool-Aid” which got everybody thinking I’m dissing the whole industry…lol “You internet roaches…” I told Dre that I’d never diss the man that got me started. Here are the lyric to Drink The Kool-Aid for everybody who understand style and grace in hip-hop…check the lyrics

This ain’t Sanatra

This ain’t the Carter

This is the chaperone nigga who brought’cha

I am the author…this is Holy water

From the Holy Father the Rock of Gibraltar

Step up to the alter step up to the slaughter

Get circumsized son and turned into a daughter

Niggas know they oughta drink the fuckin’ kool-aid

Industy laid out authorities are too late

MC’s passed the due date niggas they do hate

You are Bobby Boucher I’m the Mane like Gucci

I rock the Louie but not like Kanye

Nigga see me kinda like Harry Belafonte

Step into the room they be like ah Day-O!

Yeah cause they know a nigga ain’t play-doe

Shots all fatal is this Laredo

Boarder town knock’em down just like legos

Drink the Kool-Aid!

verse 2

I ain’t the Doctor

This ain’t the patient

This ain’t that nigga always on vacation

This ain’t no white boy’s rehabilitation

This is crazier then a boat full of Haitians

This is inflation mixed with degradation

This ain’t no dead rappers reincarnation

I heard it was a New West Coast I ain’t worried

I murder more stars then Conrad Murray

I got more bars then the penitentary

I wrote this shit without a rhyme dictionary

Young bucks try to step up to the harim

Looking for some pussy I’m a old buck I dare’em

Drink the Kool-Aid

No disses. Just style and grace. On another note, I rocked the fuck outta Paid Dues. I had my son Doughboy get down wit me while WC and Crazy Toones rocked France. I think people enjoyed the show. 20 years of West Coast hip-hop presented in 60mins. It was amazing. I can’t wait to put the new show together with all my new songs. I also dropped the single “I REP THAT WEST” on’em. They loved the new shit. The single and the video will premiere and be avaliable right here on icecube.com May26th.

My nigga Sir Jinx laced my wit a dope ass track. I’mma do it wit Jayo Felony and WC. This record is coming together like sweaty ass cheeks…

No Q & A this time ya’ll. I’m in a hurry. I’ll answer all questions next time.

Keep It Gangsta

Dr Dre says Detox is Dropping in 2010

He plugs his overpriced headphones for most of the interview. I personally dont believe detox will ever drop.

He has waited to long to drop this CD so it is a lose ,lose situation for Dre. The CD if it did drop would never live up to the hype so all he can do is hurt his legacy by dropping Detox.

Dr Dre admits Detox might come out in 2011

Dr. Dre recently admitted that the release of his highly anticipated upcoming album, Detox, is still a long way off.

Dre admitted that other projects have slowed down the album’s progress.

A script for another huge push back of the mythical album has been written. Dr. Dre said in a rcent interview “Well, I’m working on it, but also I’ve been working on other people’s projects; you’ll probably hear something in a year or so.

Speaking at an in-store media conference last November, Dre also explained why he has to feel “right” about the solo project before dropping it.

Dr Dre Detox Release ?

Dr Dre Detox Release ?

“You know what, I’m working hard on it man,” Dre promised during an in-store interview. “I’m going and I’m stopping, I’m working with other artists in-between and what have you, but I’m working hard on it and the minute it’s done and I feel it right here in my chest and it feels right to me, that’s when it’ll come out. And you know, hopefully at the beginning of the year.” Me personally being Fat Tony and knowing everything there is to know about Hip Hop on the face of the planet, I don’t think it should ever be released now. The wait has been to long and it will never live up to the long wait and all the hype.

50 Cent Says Eminem’s Success Is ‘Something To Work To

50 Cent says “Psycho,” from his new Before I Self Destruct album, is totally different from “Patiently Waiting,” even though the tracks feature the same collaborator, more or less.

“Well, ‘Patiently Waiting’ I perform with Eminem. On ['Psycho'], off of Before I Self Destruct, is 50 Cent and Slim Shady,” he explained. “He has an alter ego, and he has a comfort with doing things [that] are the craziest things possible. That’s when the chainsaw comes out. He starts going nuts on you. I wanted him to be able to go to that space, so I worked the chorus and he heard the chorus and he’s like, ‘Yo, I like that.’ I actually recorded ['Psycho'] in Las Vegas. Dre produced the track, we had a bunch of producers out there, and I went and laid the first verse. [Em] came and he heard it and he was like, ‘Yo, I’m ready.’ Wrote his verse, laid it. And then he started the next verse without me, I was like, ‘Whoa, I really only wanted one verse. I was going to rap again on the third.’ And then he just came in on that, so we went back and forth on the last piece. That song is crazy. That collaboration, we just got such a good energy around each other that we can be creative around each other.”

Fif said that the three-headed monster of himself, Em and Dr. Dre get along so well because they have “a chain of command.”

“I listen to Em, Em absolutely listens to Dre, and that keeps us together,” he said. “The opportunity that Dre offered Em is what Em did for me. There’s no confusion with where we stand or how we function. They’re both not easy to just do things. I’m the easiest one to work with because … I’m more active. It’s just their achievements and where they’re at in their career. I’m the baby, I’m the smallest one. How ’bout that? Isn’t that scary?”

50 already knows the answer to that question.

“Yeah!” he continued. “Because when they go away, I’m the biggest one in hip-hop, and I’m the smallest one in my circle, in my camp. This is what keeps me down to Earth and working, because I feel like there’s room for growth. You got artists around you that do 23 million records on [The] Marshall Mathers LP before you come out. Yeah, I had the largest debuting hip-hop album, but it ain’t the largest album. And [for Eminem] to generate twice the interest? Says that there’s something to work to.”
